1/11/08: Atlanta Journal Constitution runs a story about a Women only floor in an Atlanta Hotel. The 4 star The Ellis Hotel Atlanta at 176 Peachtree, Atlanta ranked 9th amongst the 140+ hotels in the Atlanta Downtown Area, is said to have reserved a floor only for ladies. The relatively new boutique hotel, which opened in October 2007, hopes this little secret will act as an attraction to help market their property. set inside the fully renovated 1913 historic building overlooking Peachtree. .
There are said to be at least 2 other hotels in the US offer a similar girls only service, Crowne Plaza hotels in Washington, DC., and at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Minneapolis Airport MSP (Mall Of Amererica). 1/4/08: Hyatt Hotels and Resorts in the Middle East are planning a big expansion to take into account new interest and marketing efforts by regional governments to encourage tourism. The new properties will add over 400 rooms to attend to the growing middle east travel industry. Doha Qatar and Istanbul Turkey forging ahead with their successful sports, particularly motorsports, venutures. Featuring Kurtkoy Istanbul Park Circuit (F1 Grand Prix) and Doha International Circuit ( hosting MotoGP and World Superbike Championship motorcycle racing). The Jeddah Saudi Arabia property also takes in sports and leisure tourism as the Saudi horseracing industry grows still further.
